I was a little confused with this series. It had the premise for a good book but fell short when there were so many unresolved issues not dealt with between Ash and Justine. He didn't contact her his best friend in college "why?" because he had a lot to deal with in England with his family business? Yeah not really buying that but it seems Justine did which is so lame. Why didn't Ash contact her when he was in LA for a year? Well apparently he still had a wife whom he was trying to divorce but who was crazy. Yeah not really buying that either. Justine just got excuse after excuse but she just went right along with it like it was "well okay then". The story was not developed enough. It brought up issues but didn't deal with them sufficiently. Also when the ex wife came along, she was talking about her sexual relationship with Ash when they were married. Intimate details which Juliette thought were only shared between Ash and herself. He lead her to believe he only married Bea because she got pregnant but clearly that was a lie as well. This issue was broached in this book but again not dealt with. It left too many things unresolved which made it a bit wishy washy in my view.

The sex was hot but thats about it.

The Release Seduction Book 4 edition by Roxy Sloane Romance eBooks Reviews

Oh holyhotness! Prequels normally do not get me all excited about a series, but this one sure did, Mrs. Sloane my husband thanks you -). I'm clamoring around the internet relentlessly digesting every piece of information I can on this series. I CAN'T WAIT.

Ashton and JJ are stupendous, I need more of them and I need them NOW NOW NOW! They are friends, best college buddies and this is their last night of college together before Ashton takes off back home to England and JJ embarks on the career she's been preparing herself for. However, both of them have hidden feelings for the other and mutually decide that "its now or never, might as well go out with a bang" And boy or boy did they.

I also, normally would NEVER give a prequel 5 stars, but here's my first!

Can I have The Invitation, Surrender NOW??????????? PLLLLEEAAASSEEE???????? -)
GOSH!!! Ash & JJ are just walking scx sticks.... but there is a plot in between ALL of their shenanigans.

He's the poor English rich boy dreading his life after college, and she is the poor/smart American girl trying to change her poor life with an education full of sacrifices and full of promise to a better life ahead.

They both go to the same law school but meet at a bar after their respective dates go bad, so they get drunk and become bffs, study buddies, and confidants of dates gone bad throughout their college years. But on their last day of law school and before they move on after college with their big career plans, they decide to do a dare which ends up in their first heated pent up hook up. Next day he leaves to England with promises to keep in touch.... not!

Three years later she's a big upcoming lawyer with the case to make her future dreams a reality, but not before coming face to face with the opposition and her hot arrogant bff who's running the show, and who she hasn't heard from in years simply acting like he didn't even know her.

So story begins with... Hurt feelings, games, kinky scx, distrust, kinky scx, mystery, extreme kinky scx, feelings of love, crazy ex's, more scx, betrayal, more scx, then more & more... how Ash and JJ managed to walk most of the time after its beyond me.

I mean the read was good, but it was a bit extreme with all the hard scx at times. I mean who the hell takes 8"s in the "b" for the first time with no training and so forceful just bent over a railing at a gala event no less... outch! At some point, as their relationship grew at least, it would had been nice to see them do soft and loving during their work up to roughkinkyland.... but definitely worth the read.
Basically what my title says, interesting decent story but like last section needed more from Ash,though unlike last time we did get to hear his voice a few times but not nearly enough... And Sex I like a good romance with intense and interesting characters and some Good sex scenes but by the time you get just a little ways through the story, kinda like the 1st book this started to feel like a series of sex scenes occasionally with a little bit of story all the while for a man who's supposedly been miserable without the woman he loves Ash seems to be a VERY slow learner when it comes to honesty and trust... And while sometimes against my will or better judgement I really liked these characters even thou, at the moment I'd give a few year off my life to know the kind of intensity and passion EVER that those two seem to know ( week or hourly basis,it seems to be constant) thou I give years of my life to know passion and a love with a man I'd find even half as sexy as Ash,I still don't honestly wanna be as addicted to sex or been an almost unknowing Sub.( aaaa that Necklace wasn't a necklace it WAS a Collar as in being collared ,like in a D/s kinda way. Since I haven't read Keelys story I'm not sure how Cam knew but he definitely knew something Justine was ignorant to) Ash never called her his Sub but he definitely treated her as such and she loved being one even if she never associated herself with being one....
Like I said before in my review I'm NOT a submissive woman and unlike her I'm not perpetually overly horny like she seemed to be,( honestly the seemed addicted to sex) I would wanna do half of what they did and if I did I'd want my sexy alpha male to be the one in the more Sub. Like role.... I'd want to be in control ;)
Maybe he could spank but only when I wanted ;) or control would pass back and forth during the heat of passion depending on what we wanted at the time but as some who grew up being bullied and bossed around at home, school and various jobs, surviving abuse etc. reading about women begging to be bossed around and commanded is Mot my thing , I enjoyed it for the most part but if 1/2 stars existed it would be a 3 1/2 for me...
